Beef Cobbler

Saw this in my new Ramsay book (thanks Adeline & Alpha) and had to make it. Rich beef stew with a cheesy scone topping. Not sure about it being pub food but it was delicious.

Looking Forward To Spring

First nice day since Paul & Robyn arrived so mice to het outside. Put another coat on the last window and enjoying an ale by the chiminea. Cleaned the pilot on the spa heater and going to have a soak later

Note the "tough" jacket he chose to wear today and yes dear spending too much time on xbox but what else can they do with the window job keeping us here, will get him out for an hour tomorrow.

Shaun's Visit

Had a great day in the city seeing some parts I had not done for a while and some parts I have never seen. Like the famous Chloe in Young & Jacksons the oldest bar in Melbourne.

The micro brewed stout was pretty good as well !

The kids have been asking for "dalek" dessert since I made a facsimile with ice cream and such the other week. This one was "scarecrow".

 

Sri Lankan Curry Powder

It was time for a fresh batch. What makes this good is the roasting of some of the spices which gives it the dark colour. This is before blending.
