Today was not our usual worship service as it included one of the more difficult lessons for us. I am not talking about the usual are you giving ten percent ?, do you covet your neighbours propertry ?, do you strive for the car, condo and career ? sermon that may make us squirm a little. It was a lesson that fits with the adage about people in glass houses not throwing stones or in Jesus terms let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
We are all of us far from perfect but some are a little bit closer than I and the love and forgiveness I saw makes me feel ashamed of how hard my own heart is about many lesser hurts. I hope the lesson is not lost on those of us who were there and that we can apply it to our own situations no matter what they might be. Most importantly I hope we all recognised that the lesson was not just in the words and the reference to the good book but mostly it was in the story of the people who have lived the words not just read them and filed them away.
They have completed both the theory and the practical and demonstrated it for the rest of us to follow and for that I thank them. God bless you..............
I used to "look down" on the liturgy when I was a younger "confirmed" Christian with my new found freedom as a "tongue-speaking" charismatic especially with the word, "Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy". But nowadays, chastised by history And I believe the Lord himself, these words are "powerful" and "life-changing!" And we really need it!

A beautiful entry for a wonderful day!
It is fitting and right that a family has been re-united. Thanks be to God.
