....but it is an extremely busy one in these days of global organisations. For the first time in my working life I have a diary that has appointments for every month between now and the end of the year. In spite of my open door policy my team need access to my schedule to make time with me. I have telephone conferences between 12 and 2 am so that we can cater for the dozen or more time zones we work in. My e-mail load is such that if I don't check it after hours it becomes unmanageable.
I definitely need to add some more RAM to my capacity so I don't get locked up with the blue screen of death when I try and think about it all. Like a lot of modern PC's I also now have a long shut down time while my mind tries to compartmentalise all the day's activities.
I am glad that I have some friends and colleagues that are much calmer than I am as they can rub off on me a bit. One especially is very patient with me and thinks ahead with lots of things so I can free up some RAM. Sigrun also puts up with a lot as I sometimes blur the distinction between the office and home and start barking instructions and setting goals or coaching for performance.
Thanks be to God for surrounding me with some good people to keep my feet firmly on the ground and my head out of the clouds.........
