Tonight we had a dinner to celebrate the journey the business has been on and is sadly coming to an end with the global structure being implemented. A part of that as with previous meetings of this nature were some excellenece awards which had to be shortlisted from a large number of initiatives that people in the East Zone have generated.
It was a proud night for me and I say that not in the sense that I won anything but that out of the 16 awards engineers were a paret of the team on 14 of those. I also wore baja malayu for the first time and also felt part of the local team after two years of working together.
You know it is actually quite okay to be a part of the background driving improvements and change, when you see the fruits of some of your labours that is like seeing your children achieve something and is reward enough in itself. The older I get the less I find I need to have the limelight (not to say I don't covet it to some extent) and I thank God for that. This is a positive change in my life and I hope that the trend continues.
fantastic ... do you have a picture of the Berry in baju melayu?

Just like serving God, you can serve in any capacity, even just an ordinary member but who faithfully loving and bearing fruit for the Lord. This year, I am also pondering this "bearing fruit" in many areas of my life... some I have to shy away, but there are some I can put on smile for it :-)
