Two gorgeous babies were baptised today which was really nice, Sivin worked the theme nicely into the message, especially for the younger *ahem* christians and families of the children. I also got to hold Eden again without any real drama and lo and behold Gareth gave me me a hug which really touched this stony old heart.
Kirsten was asked to be a flower girl for John and Su Shen so she is really excited and simply cannot wait for the day to arrive. Sigrun and I were also asked if one of us would do the reading (we are thinking we might try and tag team it as John and Sue Shen are quite creative in these matters).
All in all a very blessed sabbath for us amongst friends, fellow worshippers and together, what more could you ask for. Makes part of todays reading ring true
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."[1] 6So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"[2]
Man can however do a lot for us as our friends showed us today.
Shucks! And I missed it! Gosh, I hope you'll be here next week. ;)

I was very touched too ... when Gareth gave you a hug ... it was a beautiful scene. I just melted! And I'm delighted that the Berrys are involved in John and Su Shen's wedding. We've got one before them. So, 2 weddings and a load of baptisms both infants and adults ... phew! And more importantly the little showers of grace and fellowship behind the scenes and underneath the events! It's a good way to ease into the last phase of 2004!
