I gave up after two days of trying to get the mblog site going properly as you just get no support from them. I found through the forum that they are using a hacked version and that people won't help you because of that:
I understand that you may not have been aware that mBlog's service is not a legitimate one, but no one who respects MT's licenses (and in turn, MT and the good people at Six Apart) can in good conscience provide any support to mBlog's users.
So it's over to TypePad for me for now. I got a 90 day trial thanks to the helpful guy at the forum:
If you would rather not have to deal with installing and running your own copy of MT, but still want to have the power of Movable Type running your weblog, I'd suggest giving TypePad a try. You can get a 90-day free trial by using the code "movable" when you sign up.
So I have plenty of time to see if I like it or will have to set up somewhere else. probably not though as this will be accessible wherever I am. I managed to import all my entries as well so nothing lost there.
