Restored

I have been listening to the Daily Audio Bible on my walk to and from the office for some months now and am really getting something out of it. I recommend it for those like me a bit lazy to pick it up and read it. The speaker is a funky looking guy from Nashville that would fit right into our old Bangsar Church :)

In the last couple of month a series on the book Restored by Dr Neil Anderson has also been running. I have been catching up and yesterday's session was on humility. A real thought provoker for me in my current circumstances as I continue to try and process what went wrong in 2008 after a fairly spectacular preceding two years.

Reminds me how easy it is to begin relying on oneself and believing the publicity the evil one whispers in our ears to draw us away from our time with Christ. I guess I had a big dose of that and the shepherd has called me back in the most public way possible. Fortunately our shepherd will stay and protect his flock unlike a hired man so I take comfort in that.

Yes I need to remember to rely on God as per our Lord's Prayer and listen to what he is telling me.
