Movember
Come on folks lets show some support for this great cause. You can donate here
Strange after having our home for a bit over 12 years here. Lots of good memories beginning with bringing Kirsten home from the hospital and the good days when we had street parties at Xmas time. A lot of changes over the period but a couple of good comforting constants like Russel and Beverly who even while we were in KL made it feel like we never left when we managed to drop by MLb for a visit. Sigrun and Declan convinced us to go for a last walk to the beach but alas it was too cold and windy this afternoon so we had to abort. We had breakfast in the concourse after church and that is a spot I sure will miss for it's convenience and village atmosphere.
We have a whole new adventure and lots of exploring ahead of us but it is with more than a tinge of sadness that we leave our lovely home. At least the new owners seem to have fallen in love with it as we did so we are sure it will be looked after.
Next post (perhaps apocalyptic) from Camberwell.....
Dear is cleaning out the hall cupboards and pulled out the engagement photos we got taken by a professional, boy where did that young couple go to ?( Well almost to Camberwell)
Happy Birthday Dear you are still beautiful to me as the Joe Cocker song says:
You are so beautiful to me
You are so beautiful to me
Can't you see
Your everything I hoped for
Your everything I need
You are so beautiful to me
Such joy and happiness you bring
Such joy and happiness you bring
Like a dream
A guiding light that shines in the night
Heavens gift to me
You are so beautiful to me
The Australian Moto GP has come and gone for another year. Casey took it home for the local crowd but sadly too many crashes this season meant that Rossi won the championship even before coming to Oz. For my KL friends a pic of the bike parking:
As you can see there were thousands of "real" bikes at the track and the island for the weekend. The mat rempit would be amazed ! My friend and neighbour Russell has got his bike newly painted and it looks great. It is the forerunner of the modern boxer engined BMW's like mine.
We had a brilliant meal with Sivin and family at Restaurant Siu Siu last night for the his birthday. You can read his blog if you want to know his age as a gentleman never tells. Beside the Char Siu which was out of this world and worth the trip if nothing else the fish head curry served with fried buns to mop up the gravy had me feeling a lot like Mr Creosote. Must say I am glad I wasn't on this fishes menu...
ps thanks for sharing the weiss bier rev K
It was so nice to be able to spend time with our Godson on this trip. Luckily Godpa Apple trusted us to have him and big bro Adam over for a sleepover this week and we really enjoyed the boys. Declan was also in seventh heaven at having two "brothers" to play with. We got quite a bit closer with our special boy Eden on this trip and I hope we don't have to wait too long before we see him and his family again.
S has all the kinder Mums here tonight for a meeting and it sounds suspiciously like a hens party with more wine ! I have retreated upstairs to the study but it is still quite loud. Oh well the other guys have had their turn so I will grin and bear it.
